I've been trying to find how to use the Rescue System to restore the MBR after I reload a Win2K Partition without success. I'm sure it can't be too difficult, but I've searched the help system, the SuSE web site to no avail.
Can someone point me in the right direction for this? All help greatly appreciated.
Just boot from the installation CD (i.e. CD1 or DVD1). Choose Boot installed system, and I believe it give you the choice of both SuSE and Win2K, choose SuSE. When it boots, run Yast, System, Boot Loader Configuration. check all the settings, especially the MBR choices, then save and finish. Should be done. Reboot to verify all is well (from the HD, not CD). -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
