Since I've updated from 5.3 to 6.0 I've got a problem with dialin PPP (not dialout!). My setup: +----------+ ethernet | | -----------------+ Box A +----------PPP (dialin!) | | +----------+ A runs quite some services. Amoung them, it is a PPP server with just one modem attached. The modem is for staff so they can dialin from home, get their mail,... The routing table is OK, the arp table has an entry for the ppp0 device pointing correctly to eth0. Since the upgrade to 6.0 packets from ppp0 aren't forwarded to eth0 any longer and vice versa. (checked it with tcpdump running on both devices) First I thought the vanilla kernel shipping with 6.0 might be compiled without forwarding/gatewaying enabled. Unfortunately, after having compiled the kernel myself the problem persists. :-( Is this a known problem? Maybe a bug *shudder* in that particular kernel (2.0.36)?
