That's a very interesting post - as someone who does it all with 2-disk raid array, another disk to protect against rm -rf and hardware replacements every 3 years or so. I'd like it if we could crank up the quality on this list with more such posts, and all show a bit more tolerance to and empathy with users of $thatotherdesktop, cranks, n00bs, and the rtfm-dyslexic while we're at it.
Actually given the choice I'd probably do all three. One copy on tape, on copy on blueray, one copy on ssd. They each survive and don't survive different things.
