Flavio, In /etc/sysconfig/network (as root) create a file called eth0:0 (or whatever you need) with contents similar to: IPADDR=10.128.1.165 NETMASK=255.255.255.255 NETWORK=10.128.1.0 BROADCAST=10.128.1.255 STARTMODE=onboot then start the alias by using: /sbin/ifup eth0 Have a look at ultramonkey (http://www.ultramonkey.org/ultramonkey-1.0.2/configuration/example-ha-lb-5.h...) for an example. Guess what I'm working on right now ... :0) Damian Flavio Arthur Leal Ferreira wrote:
How to configure ip-alias ( eth0:1, eth0:2, .... ) using YaST2 - SuSE Linux 8.0 ?
Using YaST - SuSE Linux 7.3, you could specify interface name as eth0:1, ...
If it's not possible with YaST2, where I can find documentation concerning /etc/sysconfig manual configuration?
thanks in advance.
