If you haven't fixed the problem yet, you might as well try this; if it doesn't work, at least won't harm. Right at the beginning of the install process, you get a screen with a list of choices and a small countdown on the left (if you want to be prickly precise, it's a countup ;-) ). The top choice is highlighted and will be used if you don't act in 10 seconds.
