There should be no web server!
But there is! I think thttpd is what is running. I would like to be running apache instead. How do I find where thttpd starts, why it's there, etc. Should I remove it?
You have installed package thttpd, and you must have selected manually, because it's not selected by default - conclusion: read the description next time, before selecting a package. thttpd's start is controlled by the variable THTTPD_START=yes|no in /etc/rc.config, like all the others. -- Michael Hasenstein http://www.suse.de/~mha/ Private Pilot (ASEL) since 1998 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
