I have tried defining the remote printer as a raw socket, lpd port and ipp and I get a very similar error in each case. Same configuration works fine on 10.3 and I can happily access the print servers IPP queue status page etc with http so its not a networking issue:
If it works with 10.3 and not 11.0 beta, you should be asking this in the factory list, not here. Most of the experts are there.
