Yep. Been there too. You can't use yast to install the driver. You have to install it as root from the command line. Unpack the lexmark tarball using gzip or just click on the icon in the file mamager if you are using kde2. Uninstall the rpm you installed using yast, go into the directory where the rpm is then do a rpm -i lexmarkz32-1.0-1.i386.rpm Good luck from steve. On Sunday 25 March 2001 12:55, you wrote:
Anyone in the list has experienced this problem? I have installed suse 7.1 and wanted to use the lexmark z32 printer. I have been using it with suse 7.0 with no problem, but now after having installed the driver with yast (or kpackage) the printer does not work. The message I can read in the inst-log is: "postinstall lexmakz32-1... /usr/local/lexmark/z32/lexmarkz32: errror while loading shared libraries: libvdkcompo.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" Any help welcomed. gfox@telepolis.com
