On SUSE 10.2, enabling Xgl in KDE seems to be just as easy as specifying Xgl instead of Xorg in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager DISPLAYMANAGER_XSERVER I see that this setting alone will take care of running compiz instead of kwin. The problem is that it runs compiz with a list of modules, not with "compiz --replace gconf" That can be seen with ps axl | grep compiz Where does it keep its list of the modules it runs compiz with, how can I change that?
