Why doesnt he just buy a CD? how poor can he be? my local computer/junk store sells old 2xdrives for about $10. I can never see the point in doing stuff like this when a small outlay will make your life easier - how much value do you put on your time? $1 an hour? Mark Just create a boot disk and give him that! - he has got a floppy, right? chris123@netcom.ca wrote:
A friend called the other day and wants to install SuSE onto a CD less machine (386 something). I advised him to do an NSF install by using two nic cards as he has two putters. This option is out. So heres the questions: What are the min files/folders that need to be copied from the cd (on machine 1) to floppies to be installed on the HD on machine 2. This will of course be done under dos. Any info would be appreciated as I should know this but have not time at the moment to re-address this issue.
best regards and thanks in advance.
