Getting "Network Neighborhood" to work

Hey, I just installed 9.0 for the first time on one of my two home PCs. I clicked on the "Network" icon that the installer automatically placed on the Desktop and I got the message "smb:/ is not a valid file or folder". Yet, if I open up Konqueror and type: smb://my_other_home_pc_address I can access the Windows XP shared network folders on my other PC. What am I missing? Samba seems to have been installed properly. Do I need to do something with LiSA? Aren't they different things? Thanks in advance for your time. -GS
