trying to ptint

If I redirect the print from the cups server on my 12.2 to a virtualbox mint14 cups server, then duplex printing works, so it does seem something specific to the 12.2 setup.
I'd appreciate any pointers to how I can correct this.
Try printing to postscript file instead, and then you can use okular or gv to print it to paper.
Thanks. I appreciate that as a work-around. I could similarly send it to cups-pdf and print that. However, since duplex printing worked fine in opensuse 11.4, and does in mint and xubuntu, I'd like to get the same functionality back in opensuse 12.2. We do a lot of printing and having always to go through a 2-stage process seriously upsets our users.

I too have the same problem when trying to print in duplex mode so the problem is not limited to a particular model of printer or driver.
openSUSE 12.2
I've found a bug report about this. It looks as though the fix hasn't come through yet. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=776080 John -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
