Hello: I have used Opensuse for about 4 or 5 years, even buying the box sets. About 6 years ago I switched to Kunbuntu for some reason now unknown to me. I have also tested and played around with other distros with a rolling release model. I have heard a lot of good things about Opensuse recently and would like to shift back, but I have lost all my knowledge of Opensuse and its workings. What I need to know is: 1.) How do I get full multimedia support and not break the distro? 2.) How stable is the Opensuse rolling release system? I would like to keep the KDE desktop up to date on monthly cycle of updates. Most other updates could wait for the normal upgrade cycle. How would I implement this feature? 3.) Does Opensuse allow for Distribution upgrades from the upgrade utility or will I have to install from a cd or dvd? My reason for asking this lame questions is to get me up and running without breaking my system during the install customization phase and then seeing me get frustrated to the point of whipping out the install and going back to Kubuntu.
