A quick q before i dash of to work.. Normally i allways do a clean install and put the data/config back. Reading the comment from Marcus, i tried to give the update a try. (bad experiences with updates in the days of 6.x) On a P3/512MB with 11.0-B1 KDE4 i did a zypper up, zypper up -t package and a zypper dup, It took some time ;-) but system is up-and-running 11.0 and it didn't even use a single byte of swap! OTOH, ive got a nice number of 10.3 systems, loaded daily with the latest patches. Zypper up runs well, but __dup__ is not on of the options of zypper in 10.3. Neither is there a update option in yast. As neither can not boot from DVD, i can't use the upgrade option from that medium. (all are XEN-images built from an install server) Did i miss something (forgot to install..)
