Dear List,
What encoders do you recommend and where to get them?
I am getting ready to rip my CD to OGG or MP3; I'd like to compare them and then choose, but I do lean towards OGG.
I do NOT find any encoders on the 8.0 dist. Where are they or where should I look elsewhere?
I am able to ri[p ok.
Thanks! .......PeterB
Ogg encoder is already loaded on your system: konqueror / f9 / services (the star at the bottom) / ( load the cd!) audio cd browser. It's drag & drop from there. Limited ogg parameters are setup from: kde control panel / sound / audio cd io-slave / Ogg Vorbis settings I've had good luck with it, although every once in a while there will be a track it just won't encode. -- Jim Barnes -- Certainly the game is rigged.
