Restore volumes on login
Let KDE restore the volumes when you Login: This restores your personal volume levels, stored when you last logged out. If your Operating System saves the volume levels, you might not need this option (but on a computer with multiple users it is still needed).
This doesn't always work: on my laptop i ONCE muted the volume and logged out with audio muted. Now KDE *always* starts with volume muted and the audio level set to approx 50% (whatever it was when i muted it that time), no matter how many times i unmute it and exit KDE with it unmuted. The only good thing about this is that the KDE startup sound doesn't play (it's muted) when KDE starts up. Other than that, it's just annoying. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W. Watts
