Dial up 7.3 personal

I setup an account with access 4 free because they did support linux but their directions only showed RH. Is there a step by step guide. I tried all the FAQ files from the ISP and configuring the modem as root. Still no result no dialing up when I check an outside site. what config files do I have wrong?
