We should probably have some resources on the wiki for redstributing SUSE and derivatives, as people get confused, and understandably so, with copyright, licensing and trademarks.
You shouldn't have to get a lawyer to base something on SUSE.
Right. Currently Novell defines the EULA for the OSS product. This is done by adding a few exception phrases to an EULA template that was meant for proprietory software. Not really easy prose. It is being rewritte for 10.1 currently. I am looking forward to see some improvements. I can give a 'human readable' interpretation of the EULA as soon as I am sure what it means. Please help by filing specific bugzilla entries against the EULA. cheers, Jw. -- o \ Juergen Weigert paint it green! __/ _=======.=======_ <V> | jw@suse.de wide open suse_/ _---|____________\/ \ | 0911 74053-508 (tm)__/ (____/ /\ (/) | __________________________/ _/ \_ vim:set sw=2 wm=8
