Hi, With your setup I would recommend to install Grub, which is much more convenient with multi-boot configurations. You don't have to rerun it if you install a new kernel, you can boot most OSes easily, and you have an advanced command line at startup. http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=4622 Jostein

===== Hello all I have installed 7.3 on a couple of computers, and it seems that I can't get lilo to be written to the boot sector of the install partition.
I use another boot manager and It just tells me sector not found. It can find the RedHat and Debian install partitions. I installed suse7.0 and it can be found and started ok. I tried to update it to 7.3 but then the partition can't be found again.
I have run the Yast2 bootloader module and selected 'mount to the boot sector' but I have the same result as the option that is available during the install.
Currently I have Lilo mounted in 'mbr' and can use the SuSE menu. One day soon I will be mounting W98 on /dev/hda1 and I assume this will wipe out my current Suse boot menu I have added Suse7.3 to the RedHat lilo.conf but it too has no success starting SuSE 7.3.
Ideas or suggestions most welcome.
Merv
