[S.u.S.E. Linux] unwanted ftp-server running

Hello, with my new system, I installed using the "almost everything" option in yast. now, i have an ftp server running, different from what i had on my systems earlier. I cannot reach my systems /etc directory for instance. On my old system, i could freely walk through everywhere using ftp. what file to alter, or whih process to shut down to get rid of that ?
