Hi Martin. The general concensus of opinion from some far more knowledgeable friends of mine all seem to think ACPI may well be the culprit here. It would make sense being as it is on a board that supports a 166 Pentium. So I assume the board is around 5 or 6 years old at the earliest? Have you tried the install without ACPI enabled?
