I don't remember, and "hwinfo --memory" does not say. I think it is DDR3.
And I'm looking at upgrading - the new setup will take 4 x 8 or 16 GB sticks, and the cost will be about £150 plus ram (£50 for the mobo, £100 for the processor, ram maybe £30 a stick?) My current machine is probably a good five years old, if not more ...
