Have also been trying to install The Macromedia Shockwave Plugin with no luck, and it doesn't look like they have a download compatible with SuSE.
Onward to Apache,
Angelina
The Flash install for linux is pretty straightforward - much more than i expected :-) and it does work with SuSE. try this: 1. Start Netscape + go to www.macromedia.com, head for the Shockwave download area; you browser and operating system should be identified automatically. There you can download the Flash 3 player beta 1 for Linux. 2.Download the file and extract it to your home directory. Quit Netscape. 3.then simply copy the plugin *libflashplayer.so* into your netscape plugin directory - found in /opt/netscape/plugins under SuSE 4. Restart Netscape and test out the plugin on some shocked html . eg: www.flash.com hould work fine -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html
