This is getting interesting, and I am now going to look into this myself. Maybe sometime soon we can all use PGP. On Tuesday 25 September 2001 11:22 pm, you wrote:

Can anyone point me to some documentation about how to get started using PGP/GPG on a SuSE 7.1 system? The man page for gpg has some information, but I was looking for something that I could read that had a more system-level approach.
http://www.gnupg.org/gph/en/manual.html is your best bet; it takes you through the whole process step-by-step.
If you're using KDE 2.0, you can still use Geheimnis, but it doesn't seem to like KDE 2.2.
A new (very nice) tool is the GNU Privacy Assistant; which does much the same thing; takes the donkeywork out of key management. I think it will be included in SuSE 7.3.
