Issue#2: where / how do I change network settings? YaST?
They were not saved over a boot.
You're 100% sure? Can't say that has ever happened to me. With a system in that state, I would say start over.
Modules load instantly here, as soon as needed. If they are not loaded, there is some other problem.
There's no way to specify modules needed at boot. They may load instantly if you can specify them...
You can manually add modules to the initrd if dracut doesn't include them automagically. Otherwise add them to /etc/modules-load.d/
Well, the modules should be in initrd if YaST knows at install time that you are using them. Or in this case, LVM.

Those are not really related - dracut will determine if it needs LVM at boot-up and include the necessary modules. If they're not included, dracut doesn't think they're needed at boot time. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (0.6°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
