Sound in kde 2.2

A strange thing has started happening in 2.2. All of a sudden, sound is tied to desktop. It works fine for non-kde apps, so it must be an artsd thing. What happens is that when I change desktops, the sound from the apps on the previous desktop stops, and doesn't return until I go back to the desktop they're on. Has anyone else seen this? Anders
