As I said - I just followed the instructions from: http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/ and - as far as SUSE goes, in YAST2 I unchecked the PCMCIA option, and listed orinoco_cs in the modules line (in the hardware options of the network basic setup). And, by the way - whatever change they made in SUSE 8.0 for the YAST2 hardware option sucks - I used to be able to edit the hardware options up until 7.3 - oh, well, in 8.0 that option dissapeared - now I have to delete the NICs, and recreate them, every time I want to change the drivers/modules ... :( On Sunday 05 May 2002 10:08, David List wrote:

I am trying to use a Netgear MA401 PCMCIA wireless card with my laptop running SUSE 8.0. Under 7.3 I used to choose orinoco_cs under the modules (thus not the PCMCIA option), and used to work fine....<snip>
Could you please tell a little bit more about how you got the MA401 working? I am actually sitting with one right now, trying to get it work with SuSE 7.3. It is very uplifting that you say it's possible, but I haven't succeeded in getting it working yet.
Thanks in advance.
