Installed VMware 4.0 Workstation on Suse 8.2. config.pl ran fine after installing kernel source. VMware starts correctly and sets up guest operating system up to the point that the OS is to be read from the CDROM. VMware apparently cannot address the CDROM. Device is Samsung SM-332B CDRW-DVD drive. It works fine with Suse. I have tried /dev/cdwriter (Suse uses this), /dev/cdrom and /dev/sr0 none of which work. Robbie
