7.1 kernel 2.4.0 problem

When I do save the kernel with " make dep clean ...etc" I have a error on my screen, " serial.c:220: serial_compat.h: no such file op directory " make[3]: *** [serial.o] Error 1 etc.etc. It happents on my two computers.... I dont no what to do...? I was triing to put on the APM support in the 2.4.0 kernel, because there is no kernel with APM support in the 7.1 version (dutch) The registercode off my SuSE is: 4939 7937 7359 52 Gerrit Jan Eldering
