[SuSE Linux] IPMasquerade and Squid

I have SuSE5.3 in my Lan, and I have install IP Masquerade and Squid. If I configure Netscape in a Windows95 machine squid works fine, but I cannot send and receive e-mail with Netscape (apparently IPMasquerade d'ont work). If I deactivate squid (direct conexion on Netscape), Netscape mail works. Is it normal?
