I have been told that the Handout DVD is able to do an installation from it. I would like to get and burn this image to play with it? Where may I download a copy of the image?
what do you call "the handout dvd"?
we have dvd iso (installable) and live dvd (not installable)
there is around on magazines a dvd live that is also installable, but not from us
I know of the two, but the person I was talking with said Novell gave out CD/DVD much like the live dvd but was able to be installed. Much like what I have been told is on some magazines. He was not sure which event he attended that they were handed out. He was able to use the live portion to partition the HD and then do the install to it. He was not really familar with SUSE Linux, but was very impressed with this ability. This is really what I am seaking. Use the CD/DVD to test the hardware to make sure everything works, then install it to the system being tested. This is what I am after for the student I work with teaching them linux. I believe the more we get students to use SUSE Linux the more it will become the top distribution. I know that when I was doing some schooling at the Universtity, that apple almost gave away their stuff to teachers and students. This then brought apple into many businesses. I know that many of the people using Redhat came to it the same way. They received their training at the University and later brought it to the companies. I think Novell could really benifit from getting this into the hands of students rather than some other Linux Distribution. Students are really tight for funds so making things easily available to them I feel is an important stepping stone to making SUSE Linux the top Linux Distribution.
