how to print symbols found under "man iso_8859_1"

Hi In windows you can do Alt+Keypad to display ascii symbols. How can you do that in any text editor in linux? Particularly those symbols found in the listing for 'man iso_8859_1'? Also, I don't see a "tm" (which is alt+0153 in windows), does the iso-latin have that one? thanks, jeric
