Well, have a look at http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=blob_plai... and search for "Dell". Some models need the kernel option reboot=bios and some reboot=pci. Perhaps you have found another not yet included model that needs such an option.
