Now seems resilient to old fixing methods mentioned on forum or mailing list.
There is one method to fix a bug that no bug is resilient to: "Declare it feature, or ignore it." :)
You made me laugh a lot. I will declare it a feature and ignore it too to remember the two options.
I do the second. Bug does not prevent Grub from working correctly.
That's pretty precise. It's just a perception that something is working wrong.
Besides that, error message is more a political statement by author that disagrees with English being default and not needing translation file.
What a political statement. One smart man protest you must watch everytime you boot your system. We could exploit the idea to add Ads at early boot. (Oh, Noooo!)
Having messages in all used languages pulled from translation files could be good idea for political reasons, ie. equality, but removing importance of English as de facto lingua franca [1] of computing will have detrimental effect on mutual understanding between developers. The Tower of Babel story will be repeated once again [2].
We should fix crypto systems too. It is only able to read from English keyboard layout ignoring other languages.
