I don't understand the situation, so please explain it in detail.
See my last to Robert. I was having a dual execution of my xeyes script but wasn't aware of that fact while both took place in the same screen size of 1920x1080 with the second iteration just covering the first one exactly. I next installed the Radeon HD-5770 card and either from that moment or from a time a little later I started getting 3 sets of eyeballs, actually 4 but #1 was exactly covered by #3. The reason for this was that the first set (called from my !/.profile & my-xeyes.bsh scripts) was created on a lo-res screen so it ended up all in the left half when the screen went hi-res. THAT's when I noticed that something was wrong (over time I had forgotten that I has a second call executed from kde-autostart). All is well now, or almost. An Rx-590 card briefly hid the problem because it never produced the lo-res intitial screen that he HD-5770 did. This morning I tested this new-old Rx-590 for 4k on my TV only to discover that it has no HDMI output at all so it TOO is going back to Amazon. I need an AMD 4k card for my Crosshair-IV-Formula & AMD Fx-8150 8-core cpu but there aren't many good Rx-590's still around and more recent ones probably won't work with my rig. Thanks for trying to help. -- Some people cannot think outside the box, forever complaining that they cannot find it.
