Hello!,
I'm about to replace my daughter's consumer Lenovo laptop (which already broke down) running Windows 11 with an older but more robust X1 Nano Gen 1 running openSUSE.
Is Tumbleweed the only way to get Plasma 6?.
no, Leap is available.
Is it good enough for new users to won't be tinkering with it?.
Tumbleweed, everyone has an opinion. Mine is YES, and I have been using it for >production forever!
Thanks!, being Leap+Plasma 6 the recipe, would be a functional/stable desktop?.
"Production" sounds like server jargon :)

production means work environment, stable
and the difference between Leap and Tumbleweed is later versions. Tumbleweed is more up-to-date. Stability is not a problem.

hello!, I know, Leap 15.6 is my daily driver. The thing is, I only see Plasma 5 in the repo. Will look into in on Saturday, if it's there, most probably is an additional repo I'm missing. Regards.
