Hello,
This is one of those: what else can I do questions. I've set up suseppp according to the manual (5.2). I also set up my various scripts according to instructions given on Mindspring website (my ISP). This worked fine the last time I did it. I had a power failure and had to reinstall Linux. However, this time my modem connects to the ISP but when I try to connect with Netscape I get the "DNS is not available" error. What am I missing?
Did you install the bind package and is the nameserver from your ISP "pingable" ? An additional tip is to check your entries in /etc/rc.config. -- Regards Marius Augenstein -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
