I have installed Suse 8.1 via ftp using yast2. The choices for configuration include...
(x) Default system ( ) Minimum graphical system (without KDE) ( ) Minimum system
Once installed, yast2 presents the same choices. Question is how can I update the system for full development and kernel devlopment (aside from selecting packages one by one and rpm'ing them). Default is definitely not a development system.
<snip> On the install screen, click the SOFTWARE heading which is in blue and underlined. Select detailed selection -> individual packages. From here, select development icon and accept.
