Well, with tumbleweed you get an order of magnitude more updates, at least. Expect to reboot every week, or even more. Daily, perhaps.
You really should go with defaults there. Too much fighting against if you don't.

You can configure whatever, but what I know you "configure" from other mails (like not using initrd) is way too much. Specially for tumbleweed, because next update might destroy something.
