I am using an Expert 128. As I said, this (7.1) is the first Sax could even find my card! I always had to use the older configurators. I just checked my local archives and found a reference to the following URL for some supposed drivers for the Radeon: http://www.xfree.org/cvs/changes.html Good Luck Ed PS It turned out that Sax had put mode lines for higher resolutions than I use inth the XF86Config file. I just had to remove them. On Saturday 17 March 2001 21:13, you wrote:
Ed,
I don't have the answer to your question, but I was wondering if you would tell me what ATI card you're using. See, I tried to get an ATI Radeon to work but eventually gave up on it. I went out and purchased an ATI Xpert 2000 card that was specifically listed as supported since XFree 3.3.6. SaX surprised me and scooped up the Xpert 2000 without a problem, but I still hope to get the Radeon working someday.
Thanks for your time.

Hello all, Re SuSe 7.1 I really know better, but I had an attack of terminal stupidity today and tried running SAX2. It does now find my ATI video card (first time ever). However it left me with that *&^%$(^ virtual desktop so that everything keeps sliding all over creation. Can someone take pity on me tell me the name of the file in which I can turn this thing off? -- Edwin O. Erdman Penguinista - diagonally parked in a parallel universe !!!
