The program gpm should allow me to use the mouse to copy and paste in a console session (ttyn to be clear, eg. tty2).
When I try to use it in TW I am told that it is in sbin and requires sudo. Which I looked up and this has been explained for security reasons. The man page speaks about the x-server but does not mention if the x-server has to be started manually. But if I am running on tty7 a KDE desktop session, shouldn't the xserver already be running?
If you are in KDE, you don't need any gpm. Only on the virtual consoles. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.8°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
