Hi, Just a short note on how to install and enable the OOo Thesaurus UK version. 1) Download the UK version from http://www.8daysaweek.co.uk/downloads.htm#ukthesaurus 2) Extract the files using p7zip 7z e ukthesaurusOOo2_v1.7z (p7zip RPM available from the gruru site) http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/rpm-navigation.php?cat=/Utilities/p7zip 3) Copy the files th_en_GB_8daysaweek.dat and th_en_GB_8daysaweek.idx to /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/ 4) Edit /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/dictionary.lst and add the following line to the end of the file THES en GB th_en_GB_8daysaweek and remove any lines with "THES en GB" in them 5) Save the file and modify OOo Language settings to suit. Tools-->Options-->Language Settings-->Languages Tools-->Options-->Language Settings-->Writing Aids-->Edit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The OOo version by SuSE when configured for Australia always has the Thesaurus grayed out. Now I'm using the Australian dictionary in conjunction with the UK Thesaurus. The difference is adding the appropriate settings in /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/dictionary.lst e.g. DICT en AU en_AU HYPH en AU hyph_en_GB THES en AU th_en_GB_8daysaweek Note:- If you upgrade OOo you will find that you will have to edit /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/dict/ooo/dictionary.lst again. -- Regards, Graham Smith
