Not me. In both my bare-metal machines and my VirtualBox and Vmware virtual machines I'm running Plasma/KDE's compositor and it is fast enough that I don't see any differences. This has really come a long way in the last year or two. You can toggle it off and on with Alt-Shift-F12, and see it hardly makes a difference on my oldish AMD video or my Newer-ish Intel video chipset machines.
