[opensuse] what is "acpid: max C state" ?

Dear List, Occasionally my laptop (hp pavilion tx1000 with amd turion 64-bit dual core processor) freezes up during boot. In the screen the last line that occurs is something like this: acpid: max C state of processor 1 set to .. How could I fix this..? Giving some parameters to grub?
