Totally ignored your second problem; I'd do this: 1) Install alien if you don't have it. 2) Make a kernel tarball: cd / tar czvf linux-2.2.16-3ware.tar.gz /boot/vmlinuz /usr/lib/modules/2.2.16 /etc/lilo.conf 3) Change it to an RPM: alien -r linux-2.2.16-3ware.tar.gz 4) Copy the new RPM to a shared disk, install it, run lilo, and start 'em up. -- -=|JP|=- "Why, oh, why didn't I take the blue pill?"
