In Konsole, how to show current user, when using Alt-Tab on the keyboard ?
details : You are user1 in konsole su - user2 press Alt-Tab to switch, Alt-Tab dialog appears. But the name on the screen is still user1
I use KDE 3.5.10, but could be the same with kde4
This may be intentional. Alt-tab is used to switch from one application to another, and konsole is still running as user1, in a desktop owned by user1. It is the bash session inside which belongs to user2. It is the same under xfce. When alt-tabbing between xterms, for example, the display shows the tittle of the applications; as xterm changes the title when you do a "su", this is shown in the alt-tab dispaly. But it doesn't happen with xfce terminal, because the tittle is not changed. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
