Your domain name mopani.com.zm must be be able to be resolved by the domain name server that you use. ie - you domain name server must know the domain name and can recover its IP address. The other thing is that if the domain name is local to your server - that is - its you, then you must specify the domain name in /etc/mail/sendmail.cw Be aware that if you are online and the name can be resolved and then you go offline and the name times out (cleared from cache) then the error will occur giving the impression of an irrational fault. Should restart name server and mail server. I am assuming that you are using sendmail. Regards, Bruce.
I am running SuSE linux 6.1 and sometimes I have the following error: This happens when sending mail from MS Outlook Express.
What can cause this error and what is the solution?
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'bwalyal@mopani.com.zm'. Subject 'test', Account: 'bwalyal', Server: '194.130.158.34', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 <bwalyal@mopani.com.zm>... Sender domain must resolve', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC78
Thank you in advance.
