Hi!

brand new Suse 80, sound works on login, and testing in YAst2. If I insert a cd KsCD starts "playing" but no sound.

If I look at KMIx everthhing looks ok, Ive moved every setting on and off, no sound

I don't know about S-8.0, but I had that problem with S-7.3, until I found out in Multimedia/Sound there's one "gamix". Make sure both Aux1 and Output Accumulator slides are up. -- Regards, gr (in /usually/ balmy, sunny Florida's Suncoast) [powered by SuSE-7.3 Linux 2.4.10]
