How do you take an mp3 gotten for instance from napster (via knapster) and convert it to a format that you can write to a cd (via xcdroast) that can be played back on your stereo???
I convert them to .wav files by using the xmms diskwriter plugin. It comes as a standard part of the SuSE xmms package. Just place all the mp3s that you want on a cd in the playlist. Go to "options" and then "preferences". Towards the bottom, you will see the "output plugin" area. Just select Disk Writer. Click "ok", and then hit play. You will not hear any sound, and it will seem to play at an accelerrated rate. When it finishes, you will have a bunch of .wav files on your harddrive. Use these to burn a CD.
