Actually, I have almost all of the machines on my network using my mail server (LDAP server) for authentication. With the SuSE boxes, you basically just have to install the ldap client, pam_ldap and setup the pam.d modules. It works great... Solaris 8 also plays well. - Herman Michael Bartosh wrote:

You can theoretically have LDAP auth against PAM, but I'm not sure how that plays into the Suse side of things.
